"A Hertfordshire pub dating back to the 1300s has been gutted by fire - but the damage isn't so bad that it'll need to be pulled down.
The fire service sent eight fire engines to The Wellington on Welwyn High Street at 4.15am today (Tues 23).
The roof's collapsed, and part of the road will need to be cordoned off all day because of the risk of falling tiles."
This will impact Welwyn Festival events. We'll try to find out more and keep you posted.
Wellington events scheduled were:
* Friday 26th, 6.30pm. Wine Tasting on the Lawn;
* Saturday 27th, 4.30-6.30pm. Blues Band & Hog Roast;
* Sunday 28th, 7pm. Live Jazz.
